This L'Arc Cafe thing was basically set up to celebrate laruku's 15th Anniversary. I was lucky that I was in Japan during that period so I gotta check it out.

The Venue is at J-POP Cafe of Shibuya, its on the 7/F of a building called BEAM, which is like the same building where Mandrake (famous bookstore that sells doujinshi). A little more about this J-POP Cafe thing, actually I've known of this place for a very long time because Dir en Grey's JESSICA PV was filmed there. It is a very funky place with a dome shaped dining room and a bar area. If you're interested in knowing wut the place looks like of course you can simply look at the Jessica PV. (But this dome area wasn't used for the L'Arc Cafe event.. the bar area was.)

Anyway, I went there around lunch time and found that you actually have to get a " Seiriken " .. which is like a ticket to come back later..and apparently they were very popular and booked for the day and we were the LAST 2 ppl to arrive for the day... so our appointment wasn't until 9 PM!!! Gosh.. so I'd have to starve until 9............but sekkaku.. so i had to go.. the meal was 2,000 yen with a drink. I, eh, as expected, chose the hyde plate. Not too into chinese food, but hehe, just to get the " hyde" set ...

Oh, btw, the following is a detailed menu, i'm particularly fond of all the names they used for the drinks~~! Very creative and cute. Chinamini I ordered the Ready Strawberry Go. All drinks come alcoholic / non-alcoholic.

DRINKS:

Feeling Pine - Pineapple juice and Yuzu
Killing Tea - Iced Tea
Latte Flies - Iced Latte
Lime to Blue - Lime Juice and Syrup and Soda
Melon Universe - Melon Syrup and Calpis and Soda

The Fourth Avenue Coffee - Iced Coffee (ah i should've drunk this but not a big fan of iced coffee)

FOOD:


Hyde plate : Jya-Jan noodle (some Chinese style noodle), spring roll, salad, some chili korean rice cake thing.
Ken plate : Green tea roll cake, green tea tiramisu, fruit punch yogurt
Tetsu plate: Pita bread and pasta, Pepper pork, veggies, cheese, fried chicken
Yukkie plate: Burger and fries


And another very impressive thing is, at the entrance, they displayed some of the band's clothes. There were a few outfits in display boxes with their instruments. The others were wrapped in these vaccuum bags and hung for us to "TOUCH" (well.. there is just this one piece of plastic between my fingers and baby hyde's pants..hahahaha)

Surprisingly, all of hyde's clothes are high-fashion stuff. Lots of Dior Homme, Costume National suits, Jean Paul Gaultier etc....very impressive wardrobe!! Some of the stuff was worn in Awake LIVE and various other performances. Too bad there's no pictures.. i don't get why not..but given the naughty me.. of course i'd try to take a pic ..haha.. its a bad shot but i tried........here it is..a sneak peek.

I came back at 9 .. there was a huge line up......... around 100 guests in total per " batch ". We got seated and they played some LIVE clips from REALIVE and RESET etc...... and some promo for the members solo project. Ken chan's PV was so cute~~ then we had our drinks and food .. we got a free uchiwa fan and a coaster each. My friend was so funny, she's not really a Laruku fan.. so she actually USED the coaster on the spot, and i was like " Oi, you notice, you're the only person in here that's using the coaster, i think everyone's bringing it home as souvenier........." haha she was like " O...sh*t!... chotto..." hahaha. Anyway, towards the end, it was so weird. Like this couple was there, and suddenly the guy began to leave, and the girl followed behind him and like begged him to stay or something........ (sweat) ...... and then the guy still left, and the girl just lied down on the floor not moving.............so weird........................and then later on the staff helped her out... i was so shocked............ and just as i was very much stunned, this girl stood up and walked towards the bathroom, but before she reached there, she threw up in the middle...........!!!!..................... i dun think those alcoholic drinks are THAT strong now are they........omg... anyway. then i was thinking " Gosh, am i too old for this or what!?" but i guess... i'm not exactly too old for this stuff, coz i see FAMILIES there..haha. feel sorry for the dad... he must've been really bored... and dunno wut the kids feel...? hmmm... anyway, interesting expereince.

The goods this time wasn't really my style.. i like funky cute things, anything with Ciel-Chan I'd Love for example. But as a formality .. I still bought something... I bought this note book and some badges. I usually buy the tees.. but again, not really my style this time.

Lucky winners are drawn from the people who have bought Ken's solo work "Speed" and are invited to this " Ken Speed Show" at L'Arcafe. Lets look at some of the highlights of the day!

Ken has changed into several different mascot costumes for different rounds of guests... hahaha.. this is so ken!

The rehersal started at 9:00 and Ken even reheresed in full monkey costume ( Yeah included the head piece) In order to not trip and fall, Ken grabbed onto the manager's hand as he walked... how cute.

Each show will be showing 75 min of footage, and ken will perform Speed and Empty rooms, and then answer fan's questions. and Ken will shake each person's hand as they leave the venue. First ken appeared as a monkey. " Welcome to the Saru round!" says Ken during MC. As ken performed Speed, he walked down to the crowded space where they audience were seated, and the fans were really happy! (Some even cried!) (yeah i mean how often do you get to be THIS close to any of laruku's members!) The show continued to second round where he wore the costume of a rabbit, then a Mackarel Fish... and a turtle...then lastly of a horse.

A lot of ppl say ken looks like the turtle..haha.. and Ken also said " I start to think i sort of look like him now..(laughs)" What do you think...!? haha

Since ken is a turtle..he did a "Kamehame HA!" (Goku's move from Dragon Ball) in the 3rd picture above..!!! hahahha..

This Saba outfit is simly just like a person that stuck his head in a fish ne....... ( like instead of the other costumes where he dress up as the animal..haha.. yappari....this costume is weird...........) When ken appeared in this costume on stage, he said " Ca Va" ( Sounds like Saba, but as in Ca va in french like how are you..) and he said, if you are doing well, please say Oui! ^^

Ken enjoying the special " Ken Speed Show" drink. It looks really good right? So whats in there? it is strawberry milk, with ice cream, whipped creme, chocolate sauce, rasberry, banana and other fruits. Ken has decided on this drink as the " special drink" from a choice of many.
