Y: no..it wasn't like that. to begin witth I was thinking of making some more industrial songs, but halfway thru, I was like.. don't think I can really write these songs..(laughs) SO, it came to the point that I just had this anything goes attitude.

--- the previous single " ring the noise" had a heavy industrial feeling to it already.

Y: Its just.. happens to be like that when the song was finished ^^;

--- hey but its cool that the songs don't fall into a particular genre.

Y: I'm so happy that you think this way. (ay..yukkie you're so yasashii & cute ^^! So polite!)

--- The project itself is called acid android, so is the album, so how did this name come to be?

Y: i wanted something related to "android", and later i all of a sudden think of the word "acid"..

--- you like android?

Y: I want to be one!

--- you want to be a cyber organism?

Y: Yeah. humans seem to live only 50 years, after 50..its just like..yeah its enough! haha. I want to try feeling different...like what does it feel like if it doesn't hurt. etc

---its pretty cool to be able to pull off and replace an arm..(laughs) but these days i saw on TV about some pretty scary things. These days this thing that has a computer that can interpret things by itself was
invented. If it gets so close to real human brain it can get scary.

--- thinking of android just reminds me of "blade runner"..but now i guess its become more realistic.

Y: Yeah! I'm pretty sure its close... like they can signal the brain to raise an arm or something.

--- by the way, this album has featured guitar in all songs.

Y: yea, we took special concern with the guitar. I love distortion guitar~ its just really interesting..and it has taken the longest time too.

--- That's not really a normal guitarist's thinking..

Y: well, this time I had this guy called tomo-kun help me with the guitar, but he said to me..there are phrases where when i play, i can play it, and when he plays, he just can't. Its just some nonsense (laughs) And I'd just explain to him.."like this!"

--- (laughs) the knowledge of a guitarist doesn't work everywhere.

Y: So it was very interesting having tomo-kun help, although it was a lot of hard work ^^;

--- so basically you come up with phrases and use them as ideas for the songs?

Y: Ugh..I had them played like sooo many times. Basically its like 1 phrase 1 week. (laughs) And it gets changed little by little, and by the end the original phrase really isn't find in the song that came out.

--- feels like constructing a building!

Y: Yeah, some construction designer said that to me too (laughs)
but I really want to do well in this distortion guitar part, because I think its really cool.. don't want to lose to anyone else ^^;

--- Yeah, making good music can really be a power behind, but no matter how much you like studio work, working there alone for a year long must be pretty tough!

Y: >_< Yeah! it was realllly tough at times! i was like..Argh! I can't do this anymore maybe...

--- but you would still think.. makenai!

Y: true..its one way or other...so.. (do or die ^^?)

--- were the songs made from the rhythm?

Y: it depends on the song. there are ones from melody, some from a guitar refrain...starting on some songs that were for sampling.. the only song from a melody was only "into air". That's after i went to
"my bloody valentine" live(not the movie..the band) though. It's difficult..i'm still investigating ^^

--- " my bloddy valentine" 's your research focus?

Y: I have been listening to them a lot while i was producing this album. also massive attack and korn. (yukkie did you listen to ROENTGEN?^^? haha) .and also deftones..and so on. although deftones is considered heavy rock.. their songs are really good. their guitar chords are really cool.

--- you have a lot of kakkoii guitar chord samples in ur head then?

Y: but i think, these sounds that i think are so cool, maybe there's a way to make it even cooler.

--- yeah, of course one always has his own way around things.

Y: but you know, hyde-kun (kya..why don't u call him hyde-chan~ ^0^) he says he doesn't really listen to a lot of music...but he can make that kind of music! sugoi! its really unbelievable for me.

--- without listening to music but still get melodies out.

Y: sou sou! i let hyde-kun listen to my album, and hyde also said
to me its unbelievable. he was like " how did you write these songs!"
